Earlier this November, the Au Co team visited Cat Ba Island’s Viet Hai village. The team went on an inspection trip looking to set up a sustainable social project together with the local community.

The delegation met Ms. Ha, owner and developer of the eco-lodge in the rain forest surrounding Viet Hai village. Together they discussed the challenges and solutions for developing sustainable tourism solutions with the villagers.

 

A solution was sought to increase the agricultural productivity and simultaneously provide a sustainable customer base for the local farming community. The Au Co has committed itself to the beneficial development of its various stakeholders, and has formed a crucial partnership with the Viet Hai farmers. At the same time, the inspection also aimed to increase the awareness of local people on environmental issues.

 
The visit was also an ideal opportunity for The Au Co delegation to check the quality of Viet Hai’s infrastructure, in order to ensure the safety and security of The Au Co’s future guests.
